  17. SYNOPSIS
  18. ========
  19. **l2ping** [*OPTIONS*] *bd_addr*
  20. DESCRIPTION
  21. ===========
  22. **l2ping(1)** sends a L2CAP echo request to the Bluetooth MAC address bd_addr
  23. given in dotted hex notation.
  24. OPTIONS
  25. =======
  26. -i <hciX> The command is applied to device *hciX*, which must be the
  27. name of an installed Bluetooth device (X = 0, 1, 2, ...)
  28. If not specified, the command will be sent to the first
  29. available Bluetooth device.
  30. -s size The size of the data packets to be sent.
  31. -c count Send count number of packets then exit.
  32. -t timeout Wait timeout seconds for the response.
  33. -d delay Wait delay seconds between pings.
  34. -f Kind of flood ping. Use with care! It reduces the delay time
  35. between packets to 0.
  36. -r Reverse ping (gnip?). Send echo response instead of echo
  37. request.
  38. -v Verify response payload is identical to request payload.
  39. It is not required for remote stacks to return the request
  40. payload, but most stacks do (including Bluez).
  41. bd_addr
  42. The Bluetooth MAC address to be pinged in dotted hex notation
  43. like **01:02:03:ab:cd:ef** or **01:EF:cd:aB:02:03**
