The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the cost of oil, the issue of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
